We all go through diverse situations in life, just when you feel the whole of the world is against you, someone else has battled that situation at some point in time and someone’s reality is much more appalling than yours. That is when gratitude and thanksgiving should come in.
17 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
When the storms of life are raging, you will agree with me are the most difficult times to praise God. The attitude we exhibit in difficult times shows the kind of praise worshiper we are. A genuine worship is steadfast, constant, consistent and not periodical/seasonal but simply unconditional!
This is the kind of gratitude that should dwell in us because whether we like it or yes its not always gonna be rosy. Remember life is not a bed of roses but of thorns. A true worship is also submissive and sacrificial. Don’t say profane words to God when ugly situations set in but praise His name!
